GM: How to you think your music will cross denominational barriers?
Elisa: You know, Becca and I have been traveling full-time for about five years now. We have traveled to the UK and all over and you know we serve the same Lord, the same God and it so amazing to see people that are so passionate about Jesus in every denomination. And, we’re all worship the same God as I said before and that’s something we all have in common. A common place that we are all joined together.
GM: What is your favorite song on the album?
Elisa: I did this song called “More than I think I am” and that’s one of my favorites. It talks about our values and our worth in Christ and how God sees us.

"Colorado sisters coming into full bloom" - Cross Rhythms UK
It's a strange quirk of the music industry that an album by an American duo, issued in the UK in May, should only have received its US release in December. But then The Sonflowerz, two Colorado-based sisters Elissa Leander (25) and Becca Leander (23), have ministered in Britain on numerous occasions, playing various festivals. Now that the pair have finally got a record company behind them big things are being predicted for the Leander sisters and their 'All Over The World' album. Wrote Christian Retailing magazine, "The girls sing radio-friendly pop that sounds a bit like Point Of Grace, meaning their album will appeal to adult contemporary fans. But it should also attract younger audiences, in part because of age, but also because some of their songs, especially the title track, have a bit of a Hillsong vibe."
The Sonflowerz sisters bloom after years of ministry
The Sonflowerz-a Colorado-based sibling duo-has been playing music for nearly 10 years, but only recently signed a record deal. The pair's debut, All Over The World, will be distributed by Provident-Integrity beginning this December 2008.
Sisters Elissa, 25 and Becca Leander, 23 are daughters of a lay worship leader who has always had guitars lying around. Following in their father's footsteps, the two led worship for their church's youth group in Colorado Springs, Colo., and eventually began playing throughout the state, and, ultimately, Great Britian, their mother's homeland.

"...exceptional writing and moving lyrics..." Review by Cross Rhythms UK!
"The Leander sisters from Colorado have found time to come and gig in the UK in the past and now with their third project they deliver a well crafted album pitched somewhere between pop and rock but with a strong pop-country-esque sound to much of the music, particularly on the title track, comparable to mainstream acts like Rascall Flatts and Carrie Underwood. But eclecticism rules here as the tracks "Edge Of My Seat" and "Like No One Else" have more of an Ashlee Simpson or Kelly Clarkson peppy pop vibe. "Face The Son" is probably the strongest song of all, with flawless production, exceptional writing and moving lyrics..."

"Honest reflections and beautiful harmonies, will grip the hearts of listeners": Recommended by CBN.com
Last summer, the Leander sisters, AKA the Sonflowerz, won Best Over-All Vocal Group at GMA Music in the Rockies. Now, with their latest release, we get to find out why. Featuring beautiful harmonies, similar to Point of Grace, the acoustic pop duo sings with an earnest longing for Christ that will grip the hearts of listeners. From the beginning, the album’s upbeat title track, “All Over The World,” the sisters sing of a passion for delivering God’s word to all nations. But true significance comes when they slow down for songs like “My Adoration,” which humbly celebrates the completion we find in Christ, and “Legacy,” a song dedicated to a friend who sacrificed everything and died as a missionary in Nepal. In their honest reflections, the Sonflowerz transcend simple thanks, demonstrating a yearning for God in every form. Their songs are an offering listeners will be glad to join in on. Highlights: “Edge Of My Seat,” “Legacy,” and “Cover Us.”
OurStage.com puts "Edge Of My Seat" in Top 10 Pick
"A melodic tune with soothing rhythmic integrity mold this song into a contemporary Christian soon to be smash hit."
The Sonflowerz Experience Chart Success
Sonflowerz are a powerful, exciting new act
It makes me feel a little sheepish to admit it, but the first time I heard their instant-anthem, catchy and great new song, I thought it was Carrie Underwood.
Then, the next time I heard it and was already singing along to it, I was determined to go look up who this was.
It turned out to be The Sonflowerz, a sister act that sounds about as exciting a female Christian music artist to emerge in awhile.
The song I had heard on the radio was “Edge of My Seat,” and it’s not the only good and maybe great one on the new CD, “All Over the World,” by the Sonflowerz.
