Beautiful Miracle Christmas EP set to release / Sara Groves Christmas Tour

COLORADO SPRINGS , CO – Kicking off the release of their brand new Christmas project, Beautiful Miracle, The Sonflowerz hit the road last week with Sara Groves on her “O Holy Night” Christmas Tour.  They traveled through parts of the Northeast with stops in Bangor, Maine, Presque Isle, Maine and Manchester, New Hampshire.  Becca Leander of the Sonflowerz writes, “Sharing our new songs with people was a great start to this Christmas season.  We loved opening for Sara Groves on this tour, since Elissa and I are fans of her music.”  Several radio stations promoted the tour, including WHCF 93.7 FM in Bangor, Maine and WSTL 93.7 FM in Southern New England.

The new Christmas release from The Sonflowerz, Beautiful Miracle, was co-produced by The Sonflowerz and Brad Nyght (The Desperation Band – Integrity).  The EP features two original Christmas songs, three classics, plus a bonus track.  The Sonflowerz were joined in the studio by the international award-winning Veronika String Quartet.  “Our vision for this project is to celebrate the coming of Jesus into our world,” Elissa Leander of The Sonflowerz says. “Jesus Christ is the beautiful miracle of our lives. Through His coming as a baby in a manger and the sacrifice of His life for us, we can see the love of God in such a personal way.”

The collection of songs includes a version of Keith Green’s “There Is A Redeemer”.  The title track and radio single, “Beautiful Miracle”, received overwhelming response with more than 200 early station adds.

For those who purchase the EP, a bonus track is included. The never-before-heard song “My Heart is Alive (Start of a Bright Day)” is a brand new recording that will be on the Sonflowerz’ 4th studio album. Fans will enjoy this sample as a follow-up to the critically-acclaimed full-length release All Over the World.  There is also a unique story behind the song.

“‘My Heart is Alive’ was written during a radio interview with Xnoizz from Holland. They were broadcasting live from Nashville and asked us to participate in a challenge that they regularly do with local bands in Holland. Listeners text their song title ideas to the station and a local band chooses one title to write a song about. We thought it was a unique challenge and we’d give it a try! The only catch was, we had to write it in 1 hour and then perform it live!” says Becca.

“My Heart is Alive” was written that day and broadcasted live on Xnoizz throughout Holland.  The Sonflowerz decided to add it as a bonus track to their Beautiful Miracle EP.

“I couldn’t get the song out of my head. I really wanted to record it and let fans hear it, so the best way we could do that was include it in our Christmas EP. We plan to release it on iTunes in January.”

2009 has been a whirlwind year for The Sonflowerz: Appearing with Third Day in London, main stage slots at Creation Festival East and West, Spirit West Coast festivals, NightVision Festival, a live performance on Sirius/XM Satellite radio in New York City, and multiple radio singles climbing to number 1 in Canada and the U.S. on Christian Radio charts.
