Adding salt to a recipe brings out the flavors, going from ordinary to savory. This is what it means to be a Christ follower.

We are followers, but also leaders.

And yet too often, instead of leading the charge toward truth and the life God created us to live, we are being influenced by what we see on social media.

Jesus was the influencer of His friends. Outnumbered 12 to 1, yet He carried strength and resolve. How was it possible? He was always connected to His Father, who was leading Him.

We all have influence. We all have an effect on others. What will this effect be, at the end of the day?

It’s not about accumulating followers. Before you wish for a greater following, ask yourself, how are you influencing those in your world now? Is it with salt, light, truth and grace?

What sense to people get after you’ve left the room, after they’ve seen your news feed?
